Hello and Welcome Joxer  Welcome to CBG forums!!

Most of us has played CivCity, and I personally agree with your assessment.  Still had fun with it in other areas.  I enjoyed the editor..made some maps I really enjoyed because of the exotic terrain obstacles.  Smiley Blink

Hope to see you around..we can talk about any games most of are true addicts to all game platforms.  City Building is a specialty we really like, as it take a special type of player..patience and strategy as you must already know.

..oh yeah, can't find a friendier, and more helpful forum than this one Wink

I voted for Glory of the Roman Empire (best mood and number 1 for me)

Followed by CivCity: Rome with it's complex economic system...

 Hello and Welcome  Anguille

I agree, each game of this type brings out different styles so every players can choose which fits them the best.  I liked CivCity Rome, it did have a good economic side to it's game play.  I wanted more from Glory of the Roman Empire, but thought the game looked really great visually.

Hi Max... Hello and Welcome

I would also have liked to see more buildings in GotRE. Indeed, i believe that last year's games have very different qualities and they are all good. I guess you play mostly Caesar IV and Anno 1701 then? Both look amazing.
The problems i have with Caesar IV are the high requirements (the demo works fine but not sure about a bigger city) and the lack of people in the streets makes it kinda dull to me...but i'll get it anyway as i've got them all  Laughing

PS: i will at some point (maybe june) create a map of Rome for Civcity....(even if it won't be in the correct region)

Thumbs Up Yes..I played quite a bit a Caesar IV, and large cities do pull even the best PC down somewhat.  The price for that game engine with all that's going on..it amazes me some players get as far as they do.

One thing..I like to try any game, I've been surprised a few times, and found games that are really appealing, and fun to play.

I like editor's too, especially if you can work up some great detail for a custom map.  In Stronghold, I became addicted to Castle building..it was so time consuming though.   Looking around cautiously

I look forward to your CivCity map.. I have a few I tinkered with, nothing very special over the regular game maps.
