If I'm remembering right, the minimum figure is the minimum amount you will leave IN your warehouse (i.e., you'll always have, say, 20 tons of timber in your warehouse) making it so your ships won't clear you out of key items during their trading routes...

I realized my mistake.  I didn't see "Transfer from Office" option on ship.  I couldn't figure out why my ship wasn't picking up goods in my warehouse.  I had to lower my buy price, though, since my warehouse acquires so much more product and therefore increases my average price.

I just bought this game about a month or so ago and really enjoy it.  It seems very simple but has many interesting features.  I like to see the voting taking place in the town and hanseatic chambers.

danzig70, just wait my friend!  The depth of the game begins to really take shape as your business ventures advance and you spread out over the Hanse!

Take care,

I didn't wish to start a new thread by saying hi to all, I thought I would introduce myself here.

I have had this game for many years, indeed IIRC it was a bargain when I bought it.  Whilst I bought the game I never actually played it until now.

The only reason I loaded it up again was because of a trailer for Patrician 4 which reminded me I own this game.  Despite the graphical advancements made over the years, I am of the opinion this game relies on its depth of gameplay rather than eye candy.

As a complete novice to this game I feel I have a long way to go, but have opened Pandora's Box.  I also feel that if it's instant gratification you're after this may not be the game for you.

Anyway, I am about to check on the forums for hints, tip etc and, if you feel you may offer some good starting points please feel free to let me know.  (I have just lost on The Advancement campaign and am scratching my head wondering where it went wrong  Questioning)

I hope some of you experienced players will bear with me if I ask what may be ridiculous questions in the near future, and hope you understand this looks like a steep learning curve from my end.

All the best.  Thumbs Up

Ah yes, Patrician . . . . my Dad of all people put me on to this game a few years back.  I love games that deal with trade.
