Hi,
First let me say that this was done as an experiment to see if Blue Byte paid any gold when playing against the AI in skirmish mode on a user created Map Forge Map.  I'm pleased to say that Blue Byte saw fit to not give any gold to the player that plays on map forge maps against the AI.  I don't know if they give any gold to the users that play on a Map Forge Map in multiplayer or not, and don't really have the desire to find out.

Map Forge Map
Map to be used with: Glacier Vale
Template Name: Uplay +20 points - in under 6 minutes
Attachment Size: 4kb (aproximate) - *yes map forge maps are uber small as they don't actually contain the physical map but rather just the information that's on the map*

Description:
As mentioned above, this map was created as an experiment  Looking around cautiously to see if the gamer was awarded any gold for beating 3 AI players with the AI set to hard, on a Map Forge Map.  As was found out, the player is not awarded any gold, but IS awarded the 20 uplay points for beating 3 AI players set to Hard AI.

This map guarantees a win against the AI (3 of them) set on Hard from the following:
  • The "win" condition on this map has been set to need only one victory point
  • One of the immediate sectors to Position A on this map is set to give a victory point for taking it over.
  • Positions B,C,D have all surrounding connecting sectors military units set to 25 pikemen and 25 muskateers, thus making it impossible for the AI to move out of it's home sector for a long long time, if at all.  While this was not really necessary, it was only an experiment really to see if maybe the AI cheated in some way to get out of it, and as it turns out they didn't in the short time that it took to win this map forge map.  It would have been just as easy and actually easier to simply make one victory point winning condition and only have one sector (the one next to the player) with the only victory point location.
  • The AI players must be set to use Position B,C,D since there is no adjoining sector with a victory point to positions B,C or D

1.  Extract this zip file to the location listed in the sticky post in this forum.
2.  Start game and choose skirmish play.  Choose the Glacier Vale map, and the template "Uplay +20 points - in under 6 minutes" and choose to start the game.
3.  At the next screen, make sure to set each AI player to use the Hard AI (else you will not get the 20 uplay points)
4.  Leave the positions of the AI and the human player as the default settings, making sure though that you are starting in Position A.
5.  Start the skirmish.
6.  Once the skirmish has started, simply go to your tavern and enlist 2 pikemen.  Once they are enlisted have your troops go combat with the adjoining sector with the star above the keep
7.  Once the battle is over (and you are assured the win since you are attacking with 6 against the neutrals 3 pikemen) wait out the battle timer.
8.  The Win countdown timer will popup and count down the 3 minute win.
9.  When the Win countdown timer has expired you will be given the win.
10. You will then collect the 20 uplay points for beating 3 Hard AI players on any skirmish map (even a map forge map)

There you have it, 20 uplay points in under 6 minutes.  Most of the time spent waiting for timers to expire.

Is this cheating?  I'll let you decide, I'd have to say that technically it's not cheating as the developers allow me to create this type of map in their own Map Forge program.  However, non technically speaking... Of course it's cheating to create a map with only one victory point and insuring that the AI players will never get to it.  Never the less, this is here for your enjoyment and for anybody that is struggling to beat 3 AI players set on Hard but who maybe wishes to just get the last 20 damn uplay points over and done with so that they can buy what ever item it is in the uplay store that they might want.

Enjoy
