A possible "general" help for the red\green "colorblind." I came across this possible general application file in connection with Tropico 3, and thought it might be of interest on this forum.

assen - 11-23-09 on the Kalypso Forum:

If you have problems reading the overlays in Tropico 3 due to color-blindness or some other reason, please download the following file:

http://bit.ly/7XhRQ0 (about 10 KB)

Find your Tropico 3 (it also works on the demo) installation folder, i.e. C:\Program Files\Kalypso\Tropico3

Find the folder Packs inside it; create a subfolder called Patches, and place the file there; it should be:   Packs\Patches\grayscale.hpk   in the game folder.

Just start the game now. It is pretty extreme, all color palettes/gradients used for indicating what we call "influence grids" on the terrain have been replaced by grayscale gradients.

At least one person reported it worked with dramatic improvement for him. The thread included other suggestions about other technology - none of which I understood at all.

Looking around cautiously
