In the states its called Dawn of Discovery: venice and I dont recommend it to any of my friends.  #1 reason being the "save" game feature either not working and corrupting ONE (save) file.  Or EVENTUALY not saving correctly and therby corruping ALL <<< of your saved games.

This was an outstanding addition to the Anno family.  The big downside was that you could not build any venetian cities, however...still, great gameplay additions to an already superb builder....

I have to agree with Pad11.  It's an outstanding addition to the anno games and the big downside was that many (myself included) thought that we would be building a new type of ummm, what's the word... A new, well... Anyway, we thought we'd be building some beautiful venetian cities but obviously we don't.

Other than that, I think the game has been pretty rock solid and I've not yet experienced any sort of bug in the save system thus far.  I'm not sure how long 'EVENTUALLY' actually takes, but I've got some games that are very very long and that have not yet! experienced any save system bug.  I'm not saying one doesn't exist, because I believe I have read on the official forums about some people having issues with the save system, I've just not experienced it myself that I can remember.

Well, let me clarify that... There 'was' an issue with the auto save fuction fluking up the game when it was first released, but I was under the impression that was fixed in a patch.  Beyond that however, I've not experienced a save problem where it corrupts my saved games, and certainly if I have, it's not corrupted 'ALL' of my saved games at the same time.  But again, that's not to say it isn't happening, because it very well may be happening to some people, I've just not experienced it that I can recall, other than the auto save feature which used to cause the game to crash.

Can't agree or disagree because I don't have the Venice expansion but I do have Dawn of Discovery and have no problems with its auto-save. I also think UBI has done a good job with Anno here.
