Isn't it funny though.  There are some old old games out there that we would gladly pay just for a graphics enhancement even if the gameplay stayed the same.  You know like the old 2d style CB games, I'd give up 20.00 to see Zeus, Pharoah, or Emperor Rotmk converted to more modern graphics even if the gameplay stayed the same as I've heard others say they'd do so as well.

yea if ageiii was aocii upgraded only in the way of graphics, and maybe some other features (that only improve on the game, not change anything?) aoeiii probably could have been really good... maybe I was expecting too much.  (but at the same time, aoeii's graphics are classic, and work really well for the game).

Ah, see i never owned AOEII... I skipped it (no idea why).     But yes, i do love empire at the second, and i also love rome (alot more then empire). I played full price for both games and feel they were worth it for the gameplay they got out of them. (empire was $100 au when i got it...... still running it without the expansion(s) (is there more then one now?) and im still playing it alot Smiley Blink.... as for the gameplay with better graphics Patriciain IV has all my hopes in it to keep the perfect trading/everything else while looking slightly better :D

Well I picked up the AOE 3 (complete collection) since I can't find the Warchiefs disk anymore (even though I've reorganized my big box of game disks back into order again) and I never owned Asian Dynasty but it has some of the features I would choose to play by, while I was at best buy returning a video card I didn't actually need.

Going to load it up later tonight and see how it plays on the new computer.  On my last computer it did have a slight laggyness to it, hopefully the more powerful CPU and video card will help with that to some degree.

Oooh, I have to remember to reinstall Flight Sim X today too, since I've rearranged my desk to give myself some more room, now I've got room where I can just shift my keyboard and mouse over to the right next to the new computer and place my flight yoke clamped to the desktop in front of me.  It was too much of a chore before to try to move stuff around on the desk to be able to use the flight yoke, and without the yoke it's not enjoyable to fly the smaller planes.

I've heard with the larger planes you can pretty much fly by turning knobs and adjusting numbers on the displays, although I'm not capable of that type of flying, not yet anyway.

Chalmers, are you a bot?  Sorry if you're not.  Tell us the middle letter of the word "BUILDER" and you'll prove that you're real! Sticking Tongue Out

We don't use the ban hammer around here hardly at all, but quite honestly, I'm thinking about doing so.

Posts that are one line quips that don't add anything to the conversation do indeed seem like a bot, or somebody trying to do something else that might not be wanted.  One or two, okay no problem, however 19 of them all being the same, a one line type of post that doesn't add anything, not really acceptable..

Chalmers, please try to make your posts more constructive in the future.
