If you want to exchange your solo player cities amongst those that play Cities XL then I found this on a site that found it on another site Laughing:
Hello guys,

As CitiesXL will become a game without multiplayer-mode we have created this tutorial in order to inform you about exchinging cities made in the singleplayer-mode.

This tutorial was created by a member on www.generation-city.com.

Step 1:

C:\Documents and settings\Username\AppData\Local\Monte Cristo\Cities XL\live\your nickname\solo (may vary due to differences between XP, Vista and win 7)

In this folder all savegames can be found. The more savegames you possess the more files you will find. In the following example we assume that we have 3 savegames (green, orange and purple). For each savegame you will find two types of files:

- .sol (the city)
- .dds (thumbnail thumbnail of your city)

Furthermore two additional files can be found which are contain of ".cxl" endings. These files are modifiable by using the windows-notepad.

Step 2:

Do not panic. It looks worse than it actually is.

    * Find the correct savegame. It contains the following description:
      solosaveregionXmapY.sol
      X: The number of your region (in the chonogical order)
      Y: The number of your map (no order found yet)
      Keep this description of your savegame in your mind.
    * Open "Cities.cxl". Search for the exact line which contains the adequate savegame near the tag "luatable" (marked in blue in the picture).
    * Mark the entire line as shown in red in the picture. Afterwards copy & paste this line in a document (notepad). Name your document meaningfully.
    * File everything in an archive (.rar/.zip). This archive needs to contain your new textdocument, solosaveregionXmapY.sol and solosaveregionXmapY.dds.
    * Afterwards you may exchange your archive with any other archive.

Step 3:

Installation of archives (cities):

    * Save the savegame (archieve) on your desktop
    * Go to"C:\documents and settings\username\AppData\Local settings\Monte Cristo\Cities XL\live\your nickname\solo"
      Add solosaveregionXmapY.sol and solosaveregionXmapY.dds there
    * Open "Cities.cxl" and the textdocument simultaneously.
    * Copy the entire content of the text-document and paste it between both luatable-tags (marked with a blue line in the picture above)
    * Save "Cities.cxl" (overwrite it)

Notes:

- it is unknown how the game reacts when having same names for different cities
