Thank you all for trying. It occurs to me that maybe, since it was not done on the enhanced version, that maybe I couldn't have used it anyway. Perhaps I should just not be lazy and do another from scratch.

@Lengo Age is a state of mind. My mind has arthritis, alzheimer's and osteoporosis - and that's on a good day! I haven't even begun my pyramid yet, so my people will have to work overtime when the time finally comes, and by then this old fossil will probably end up embedded in one of the limestone blocks.

Yeppirs! Age is a state of mind.

"Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, if you're young at heart."

I went to the pool today. When I got there, the receptionist asked me how I'm doing. I said "I don't remember where I've been.  I don't know where I'm going, but I'm making good time!" She replied, "Well, if you're going to hell, I just got back and the weather was great!" Now that's what I call thinkin' positive!

I went through all my backups today, 'cause I reinstalled my Age of Empires II and The Conquerors. Nope, I can't find any of my custom scens for CotN or Age either. Arrrgh! So, good luck on recreating your Hidden Valley. Scens for CotN are difficult, but it's a worthy pastime.

And hey! AoE-Conquerors is a SUPERB game! Fire that bad boy up again if you got it. It's great! I know that for certain, 'cause I got an arse whuppin' something fierce today!  Laughing

Windows 7, bah! Who needs it? XP works for me. Now all I need is my health, but since that ain't gonna happen, I've got my pyramid making crew working overtime! NO WEEKENDS OFF!  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Good luck with your CotN scen. Post it when you're done. I hope I can recreate my center-mountain Age random map, but I dunno.. I spent a good two weeks polishing that one. But if I get it re-made, I'll post that here for others' use. It was a great map.

Oh well. I'm on my way to hell. I hope they got coconut drinks to go with the fine weather!

I'd have to say, that Windows 7 is the butter on the bread, and bread is so much nicer with butter.  Actually, everything is nicer with plenty of butter.  mmmmmm butter.

I don't got no $250 for an OS to replace an OS that works. Likewise, I don't got no $15,000 for a car that replaces my paid-for car that works! What I need right now is a new processor. THAT will make a difference! Spending money on needless stuff isn't gonna do me any good!  And considering MS' economy of scale and the size of their user base, there's no reason that Win 7 should cost so much. What does one need to spend that much for? To go nation building in India? Buy locally! That will improve the economy. I'm not sending my money to Washington so that they can send it to Mumbai! And screw those people in Bellvue, WA, the spoiled, good for nothin' excuse makers! They live like gods and make like that standard of living is for everybody, but it ain't, not even them. They don't appreciate what they got! It's just a freakin' illusion. It's their cross to bear -- keeping up with the Joneses and wanting more and more gadgets instead of saving for their kids' college.

And just how is Win 7 superior to XP? Huh? How? MS hasn't explained that! What does it do that XP doesn't? When MS explains that, which I doubt they'll do lest they expose themselves, then I'll consider it, but until that happens, I'll save my money and spend it on things I need, and I don't NEED a new OS! I don't need to make a fashion statement, either. I need Win 7 just as much as I NEED cable TV or a cell phone!

Harumph!  Disagreeing Madly Windows 7 is the new XP, and perhaps the new Win 2000! If these people can get by with what they got, I can get by with XP.

How's that for perspective?

I sometimes wish that I would get off my lazy backside and install a partition with just Windows XP on it, as I do have my web authoring software that apparently only runs on XP or Vista and I have to run it through the XP virtualizer in Win 7, which makes it extremely laggy feeling.  Moving elements around on the screen is like dragging the mouse through room temperature butter.  Mmmmm theres that butter again, unfortunately it's not a good thing this time.

I've got enough space available (693GB free of a 1TB drive) but the last time that I tried to repartition my drive to just put 7 on here it wiped out my old 7 partition so I guess I won't be trying that anytime too soon.  I did however upgrade to Win 7 Professional a few weeks ago so that I could legally use the Virtual XP for that web authoring software in case my mum needed me to do anymore work to her website I'd be ready, but I'd surely not use it for full time website production that's for dern sure.

Oh and the major difference to me besides being up to date and less vunerable to attacks on the web for me would be the eye candy and ease of use of 7 over XP.  Certain functions just work more ummmm, what's the word.. more natural I guess is the closest word I can think of when working in 7 for me.  Of course theres some things that I really dislike too like not having an up arrow button to traverse up the directory chain in Windows Explorer.  I've just never gotten use to clicking on the worlds in the address bar of explorer to navigate up a folders chain of folders, and probably never really will, and that silly back button is only usable if I've already been there.  Pffft, the fools at Microsoft really should have left in the up button to allow me to traverse up a chain of folders when I need to.

They've also never really solved the ability to copy files fast as was in XP, it's still tremendously slower for me to copy files, sometimes the stupid 7 tells me that it's going to take 23 days to copy over 20 or 30 GB of data from one folder to another.  Usually ends up only taking an hour or three, but still, damn annoying.

Ack! That not good. Not good at all. I'm lazy too. I need to use my mouse for scrolling. I need ARROWS!

At any rate, I have no money for a new OS. I just dUmPeD over $350 into my car, and more money needs to be put into it. It'll take a year to get it all done.

I could use a good mouse though. I dunno what's up with mine, but it's not tracking so good. Why? I dunno. It's a Logitech MX500 corded laser mouse, and it's connected to a ps2 port. Is it the mouse? Is it the port? I dunno. Has been acting goofy lately, and I have no clue as to why. If you have a recommendation, let me know, but for a new OS, I cannot do that!

No wait. What am I saying! I need a new chip in me! MY OS is failing! Please install new Human Code. My brain is shutting down as well as other organs!  Big Smiley Grin Laughing
