Seriously, I'm about to go into a state of appoplexy (sp?).

We've had, since the end of June, Glory of the Roman Empire, CivCity: Rome, Caesar 4, The Guild 2, Anno 1701..all fabulous City Builders...I haven't given any, except maybe CivCity: Rome, the proper amount of playing time...

and now THIS?  What the heck...I went about a full year with only Oblivion out as a new game worth buying and now I'm basically up to my butt in new games that deserve, nay...NEED...my time!

help!  Someone create the 72 hour day!!!

Hello and Welcome Hey pat!!  I got DM/MnM game for the grandkids..  Maybe I'll sneak a peek..I lost track of where all the sequels have progressed..just looked like something they might like.  I've been wrestled (hog tied) into trying some more WoW..just to satisfied my older kids..so I picked up some PvP games just to attempt getting a handle on everything.   Sticking Tongue Out

Have you followed all Might and Magic titles?  I may need to know what I'm up against there too. Wink

Max..this will be the first M&M game I've played because, with two young kids, I just can't do online gaming...thus the allure of Dark Messiah, which is a first person, single player hybrid of RPG and action...However, in looking at reviews, it is the multi-player aspect that really sings...I.E., when folks get done w/ single player, they can go online and wage war/rampage w/ or against friends online and have even more character options...

It sounds interesting.  I've avoided picking it up because it's first person view and I really don't like first person view, I much prefer 3rd person view in my RPG type games like is done in WOW.

Let me know if you can zoom the camera back in 1st person view to get a 3rd person view if you have the time.

CB....I've only touched it for a few seconds...so right now I'd say you're stuck w/ first person....Gothic 3 offers a nice close up third person view, however!!!

Hello and Welcome pat!!  Yeah, single player is the only reason I decided to pick it up.  Though if it has a better M/P, I'll get more copies and put on the LAN here at the house.  I added two more PC's so have six, and hope to expand to eight eventually.

About the camera stuff..in Gothic I sometimes get too close and loose orientation and wind up upside down, makes for some weird counter attack moves that's for sure.  So I'm wondering if there's a config value where a player can tighten up the camera so a wild move doesn't over react.   Looking up an Orc's nostril certainly is much closer than I really desire..if I can avoid it..that would be nice. Max...in checking through the JoWood boards, I've yet to come across any camera hack...Sorry!

What I find odd is when you get too close to a wall or something and end up looking through it into the woods or another room!  Makes for some interesting stuff...
