I just wanted to comment on health care.

To paraphrase the Wizard of Oz: "People don't need health insurance, they need health care!"

If there is a problem in the system, why don't we dig down in the roots and look at the Nematodes to see which ones are the parasites, and then look under the bark for the really nasty parasites.

Is "insurance" the only model we can think of?

No other topics are not restricted here.  I closed the other thread because it originated in like 2007 (January 2007 to be exact, 2 years and 8 months ago) and the person that revived the thread had one post and reviving the thread was that one post, and has a signature of "Angioplasty".  That to me is somebody trying to stir the pot of the whole health care situation right now, trying to drum up support for their side.

Anyway, we have nothing restricted as long as it can be talked about in a reasonable manner, if the topic gets too hot, it usually finds the need to close it for a while.  We have found there are the usual topics that almost always get too hot, politics, religion, gays in the military and gay marriage, so I think everybody pretty much decided to try not to talk about those subjects if at all possible, but if one of those subjects is really eating at somebody, we'd rather have them express it here, then go down to the local piggly wiggly and gun everybody down in sight.

Oh! I see  Sadness

I am so sorry to be a bother. I was careless and silly. When I looked at the thread I did not look closely enough. I did not see a "locked thread" symbol, nor did I check the continuity of dates.
