If you registered for membership on this site but have not yet received the confirmation activation email, there are 3 main reasons.

1. It ended up in your junk or spam folder, please look there to see if it's in there.

2. You did not enter your correct email address.  Please register with a new username and the correct email address and try again.

3. Your IP address and or your Email Address is listed in the Stop Forum Spam (spam protection) database as a known spammer and when either your IP address and or your email address appears in that database, your account can not be approved.  As such if you are a spammer, please move along, our community is too small for you to bother with.  If you are NOT a spammer, contact the owners of Stop Forum Spam and get your information removed from their database and register a new account.

To make space and due to a recurring issue with avatars going missing, I've had to delete attachments to messages that are older than 365 days old.  I know some people were miffed about doing this in the past, but I see no alternative at the moment and hopefully it will allow peoples avatars to properly show up again.

However if your avatar does not show up then you may need to reupload it to your profile to store it on the server again.  Sorry, but that was the only thing I could think of that wold cause this issue, and the amount of space that I alloted for attachement (including avatars ) was in the many many GB range and unfortunately the way this forum stores that sort of stuff is all in one folder, so that folder might hold thousands of individual items which just slows down the forums whenever it has to find a file in that mess of files.  As I found out in another forum that I own where it has a folder that has over 11,000 images all in one folder, it slows things down terribly.  On CBG there is the option of cutting out stuff that is over a year old, where as on my other forum I don't have that option I just have to deal with the slowdown since I can't cut out any of those images on the other site.

Thanks for your understanding in this matter.  I did cut out several GB of images and attachments that were over 365 days old.
