Looking for a good place to start my fortress...

I setup the search filters so that it says Aquifier: No

However, it's still including plots of land on the map that have aquifiers.  Is the filters not exact, is there a way to make them exact so that all my options must be matched?

I am not sure, did you select to have rivers as well? sometimes if there is a river as well a aquafur, then they both just may show up on the map as well.  You looking for flux stones aswell?

And yes, Bruschev, I was also searching for a river, as I was told that I really should else my dwarfs might die of thirst if they don't have a access to a river.  No?

Yes, thats right, nothing to worry with aquifers, as you will have a river to source water from. Aquifers are quite common and it doesn't cut them out of the search if a river is local as well.

Not sure, never really used the whole RSS feed thing, there is a notify button, that might just send something to the email you signed up with though?
