You may have noticed how when someone decides that they need to vent and start to spout off obscenities, then our website will censor out the words and replace them with something like [*******].

Well, this same feature allows us to change out acronyms for the entire words.

For example, typing C.CR without the period will produce CivCity: Rome
and typing C.4 without the period will produce Caesar IV

We've only set up a couple of them (mostly to appease the pain in my wrists from typing) and thought, it would be a good idea if we added as many of these as we can, which would save people the time from typing them all out.

So currently we have the following:

C.4 Will be replaced with Caesar 4
C.CR will be replaced with CivCity: Rome
E.MP will be replaced with Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom
E.MP1 will be replaced with Emperor: RotMK
note: You don't need to type in the . in the shortcut word for them to work, they are only put in here so that you can see what the acronym looks like.  So you would type them in with out any periods or spaces.

If you would like to see more of these added to the website, please feel free to respond to this message and I'll add them in for you.

The other reason that I have these in place is that often times we might get someone that doesnt know what C.CR means so they end up having to ask, so by replacing the initials with the full word, then everybody knows exactly what we are talking about.
Hope this saves other people wrists a little bit of pain as well.

Done and Done.

T.G1 = The Guild 1
T.G2 = The Guild 2

Of couse the period in T.G1 or T.G2 should NOT be put in place otherwise it will come out looking exactly like that (T.G2 or T.G1)

So if you type in T.G1 (without the period) then you get The Guild 1

And if you really wanted to use the acronym then you could type  in TG(:)1 or TG(:)2 and you will get TG1 or TG2

  Of course you dont want to use the ()

 Hello and Welcome I thought this was a great feature, but it doesn't seem to work.  Any thought about doing this again?

It's still working for those words that are in the dictionary to change.  For example I type here C C R without the spaces: CivCity: Rome and I get CivCity : Rome written automatically for me.

 Oh! I see Oh! I see Thanks CB...

I must be my "lack" of medication that is causing me to imagine things!!!! Ssssh..... Don't tell anybody Ssssh..... Don't tell anybody

I can't find any instances right now, but I just remember it took me the longest to figure out what BttR, CIV, CivCity: Rome, etc. stood for...  I just recently figured out that CIV stood for Caesar IV, not Civilization....!!!  Ssssh..... Don't tell anybody Ssssh..... Don't tell anybody

I HATE IT when I make a mistake!!!! Disagreeing Madly  Maybe I should start my meds again???!! Questioning
