Guild fans, look for the Back to the Roots patch 2.1, with addy pack, to be done within the next two weeks I bet.  It is a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE addition to the game in the spirit of the original Europa game.   You will LOVE IT!

   The forums are so complex and complicated and practically twenty clicks deep so I'll post this here and see if someone can pick up on it.

To pat!!  Hey pat I received Guild 2 Venice as a present..and guess what?  IF you have/are playing this successfully ...tell me what I need to do.  It appears to me that it needs to be worked over...a LOT!!!..  What gives?   

I'm also trying to get the right sequence of addy packs in order for BttR..maybe a roadmap of proper installs would assist me.  I have my own personally customized PotES installation I would rather leave be..as I enjoy playing it that way.

Sorry for posting so many inquirees at once.. I did finally get my regular gaming PC back in working order.. new MB and almost a grands worth in Video cards..and now have 2 TB of backup storage.  so these games have no excuses whatsoever in my estimation. 

Hope you can help me out...

Max!  Venice has a beta patch...it's 'okay' but still not done...leave it to freaking Dreamcatcher to ruin both The Guild and Gothic with early releases and in relying upon Trine Games to continue the work of 4-Head and PB...Trine, BTW, sucks nard...a lot....

Go to the official guild site and get the beta patch...it helps a little, but not enough...

As for Playing PotES...well, The Sovereign Edition is done my friend and you WANT it...you NEED IT!!!!!

I already had started a thread in this forum with the correct links...go to the Dump and you'll find it and the link!

You want PotES, patched to 1.2 and then 2.1....and then add the final version of the BttR/Sovereign Edition Addy Pack that I link to ...so that's four things...clean install of PotES, patch 1.2, patch 2.1 and then the Sovereign Edition as the final thing...that way you get to play a pure and wonderful version of The Guild!

Never did find your thread that you mentioned.   

Venice plays about 30 minutes then stalls...the saves are corrupt and won't reload.  So your assessment is right on spot.   

So I'll see how BttR/SE runs..once I get a fresh install loaded up.  Thanks again, your the true Guild man!!
