I have to ask, what is a countdown calendar?  Is it like an aztec doomsday countdown calendar?

It's just a thing that allows me to count down to the next chance we have to maybe right this ship.  I don't want to offend anyone, so I'll leave it at that! Big Smiley Grin Laughing

Things are looking pretty bonnie here in Springfield, OR.  Everyone seems to be out shopping. The malls are full. Restaurants have cars in their parking lots. And gasoline is down to $2.19 a gallon! Next door is Eugene, and things look the same. No real impact. I dunno about industry though. Most of industy is wood -- lumber, finished products (shelves, doors, windows), plywood, and veneers. I know one fellow who is laid off, but that's the only fellow I know who works! Everybody else is senior in my circle. We's either old or disabled. Stiill, every store looks active and thriving. Target and Wallymart are where I go and there's lots of people out. I can't say for the major dept stores though, 'cause I don't go to malls.

There is one big industry close by that's hurting. There's lots of RV manufacturers in this area, and on the news there's reports of layoffs. Nobody wants to buy the gas guzzling beasts.

Coundown calendar? The only one I know of is the one that's counting down the days until I get back or have surgery to fix my larynx that my surgeon screwed up. I'm working on it, but it seems to be working just as hard not to return to normal. Then again, this could be a blessing for the rest of the population around here.  Big Smiley Grin Laughing
