Here are just a couple shots from my first city using Destinations...it ended up morphing into Small Town theme...very nice, very fun indeed and some great screenies!  These shots I focused on the water front attractions, which seem to dominate my first attempt with the expansion pack!

I've moved on to try a spiritual retreat, but here are a couple shots from try 1!

later,
pat!

---

shot 1: Looking south along the Torqueluna River, note the awesome Commemorative Arch!

shot 2: This interesting shot shows some divine blessings being visited upon one of my Spiritual venues for travelers!!!

shot 3: The west side of the river was developed after the main city's east side, but care was taken to make it attractive to travelers and locals alike!

three more!

----

shot 4: A scenic pier on the west side!

shot 5: From the east side's China Town, looking past our boardwalk to the Arch across the river!

shot 6: In amidst the residential areas, small commercial districts exist...

Loving Eyes wow, absolutely very, very stunning pickies!!!!

Are you using any mods in the game or are the buildings etc all default from Destinations and SimCity: Societies?

With Destinations do people swim in the sea or sunbath randomly during the day/night?

Thanks Pat.  Mod glitches aren't fun sometimes. Here's the fun I had...not  Laughing
With my small town I was working on lately I had problems with being kicked back to the desktop frequently, froze or had lag issues and this was with a small pop of 500.  It happened randomly, when I  moved around the map. So, I unstalled everything, even my saves (my small town is now gone  Crying as stupid me didn't save a copy of it).  The reinstalled default game however ran smooth.
Yesterday, I spent a number of hours, reinstalling a few mods at a time, trying to find the culprit as I remembered the problem started not long after I added a road in my town  other than the dirt one.
Anyhows I THINK I found the culprit but time will tell. The road mod I have now removed wasn't used in my small town tho it was installed, but I'm wondering if the files conflicted somehow with other road mods.  I won't name it as I need to be absolutely sure plus I don't won't to point blame and then end up being  wrong.
Now I need to just get those horse and riders back on the road, but i don't know what
instigated it as I tried 3 new small towns yesterday and there wasn't a horse and rider on one Questioning

edit.  Geesh, I did yap above.   Bashfull Female Soz Pat/CB and everyone else. The mods I have removed are HistoricRoad and PaintableTerrain.  Have had no more drop backs to desktop/game hanging or bad lag spikes at low pop.  The HistoricRoad is a great looking road tho  Thumbs Up

Wow, Screenie 1 really looks great, really gives it that lived in looking city.  I like it.

Along destinations, believe it or not, but it's not for sale around here.  To get it around here you have to buy "the sims box" that includes societies, destinations, simcity4 and rush hour all in one box for $39.99 (10.00 more than online purchase of destinations alone.)

I've got too many "online" purchases, the only ones that I trust anymore are stardock, so I opted to pay the extra 10.00 to get the boxed set.  I havn't opened it yet as todays the first day I've been feeling a bit better.
