If you registered for membership on this site but have not yet received the confirmation activation email, there are 3 main reasons.

1. It ended up in your junk or spam folder, please look there to see if it's in there.

2. You did not enter your correct email address.  Please register with a new username and the correct email address and try again.

3. Here's how I fixed it...I use VISTA.

Go to your C Drive and make sure that you can see hidden files (choose the drive, choose Organize, choose Folder and Search Options, choose View and ENABLE 'Show hidden files and folders')

Close out of the drive...choose it again so the option change took place, go to:

c:\programdata\SimCity Societies\Localization\en_us (for English version)\ObjectText

here you'll see a list of every mod you have in the game...copy (NOT MOVE) ALL of the small XML files from here and put them in the following location:

c:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Sim City Socities\DataXP1\localization\en_us\ObjectText\

what you'll see in this folder BEFORE you move anything is just the one xml file...copy all of those mod xmls in here and it will work perfectly fine!  It will NOT overwrite anything as nothing is there to overwrite!

In the past  I didn't have names on some of my decoration mods. ie butterflies etc.  up until last night. Now when I load the game everything is named. I haven't moved any files so I'm assuming installing Destinations has now sorted this.  Anyway whatever made it worked, I am certainly thankful 

Also  that "string missing" message has disappeared since installing the expansion which is great too as that really bugged me!!!!

edit. Okay, well I guess it helps when I "Show All" in the menu then I will see if names are there..DOH me again !!!  Yep, still have some decorations without names....Not a biggy tho
