Error in Reactivation

If you registered for membership on this site but have not yet received the confirmation activation email, there are 3 main reasons.

1. It ended up in your junk or spam folder, please look there to see if it's in there.

2. You did not enter your correct email address.  Please register with a new username and the correct email address and try again.

3. Your IP address and or your Email Address is listed in the Stop Forum Spam (spam protection) database as a known spammer and when either your IP address and or your email address appears in that database, your account can not be approved.  As such if you are a spammer, please move along, our community is too small for you to bother with.  If you are NOT a spammer, contact the owners of Stop Forum Spam and get your information removed from their database and register a new account.

  Hey CB!  Just a note to let you know that I've had some problems registering on MGF.  I registered and have not received an activation email (even checking my Junk).  I opened the MGF forum this morning, and pressed the link for 'send a new activation email' and entered my email address again.  Below is a screenie that I got, just FYI...hopefully I'll still get the email...

Well I just hit the "remind and send email" in my admin panel so hopefully you will get it.  I know it's been working for others.  On what day did you register?

Im wondering if there was some sort of problem on that day.

  Hey CB...I still haven't received anything...but I'm receiving mail from others.  I'll try to register as Kat rather than Katmandu2 and use another email...

At the time it was sent out, it may have been sent out with a subject line of only "Welcome To" so look for that.  It's now been corrected so that it says welcome to my game forums.

We can see that others have managed to sign up indicating they got their email so I think it odd that gmail threw it away or it was never sent.  Definitely strange.  If you don't get one with the new email address you use, let me know and I can approve the account manually.

Me too CB, I signed up again today and haven't received the activation email. I looked in junk as well.

Well, I signed up a bogus account using one of my old hotmail accounts and the message came through to me, so I don't know what to say.  It does work as people have signed up and activated.  Anyway, I've activated both of your accounts so you should be able to login and it's supposedly sent out an email to you to let you know it's been activated, at least let me know if you get that email.  All I can imagine at this point since it's working for other folks, but not you all is that maybe you have filters setup on your email that is just deleting the emails and not even filtering it to the junk mail.  I have several filters on my hotmail account that do that which often means I don't get legitimate email.  And for the record, indeed in my hotmail account, this activation email was in my junk mail while there were 300 emails that were junk in my inbox.  Typical hotmail   Also I did receive it within seconds of hitting the register button so Im clueless as to why you two didn't get them other than what I wrote above.

I do not use hotmail or anything like that - just a normal isp...

Well I finally got the activation emails CB but they didn't work, the email I got from you to say you had activated the account did work, so thanks for doing that.
I still have to log in though,---- is that right? I don't have to login on this site.

   Sorry to hear some of our valued members are having problems.. though I did not have any issues getting my activation email..I Did notice one "possible" problem.

In the link for: TO activate..it doesn't contain all the necessary script to reach the specified activation point.  I had to copy/paste the ENTIRE script into my browser to get to the proper ID point to activate my account. 

The partial link would not work. So if there's more link scripted beyond what shows as a active link..you need the whole line of script to properly activate your account.

Hope this helps anyone who may notice this ..and it allows them to be taken care of..as I know CB is doing all he can to make things work best as humanly possible.

Although it is now showing me as the latest new member ...

...it will not allow me to log in as I have not activated my email - which it will not send me

I am stuck in a loop - which will probably make me 'loopy' before I realise
