I almost passed over this info.. Monte Cristo isn't exactly first on my list of Devs.

The premise of the game seems very interesting.. so check out the links.

With a slogan like this... Think massive, think online, think CITIES XL™   is enough to make any City Builder drool... <pass the napkins>

Here's the Links

   Cities XL™ Main page

..and a nice FAQ's page

 Thumbs Up
Thanks for the links Max.

The online option is a daring direction for MC to take.  I guess like most things you got to give it a whirl before passing real judgement on it.

As long as the singleplayer stacks up to be a very good game and isn't weakened by more development put into the online side then I think MC won't have too much to worry about.
Will be very interesting to see what happens in the future.

This sounds like it will be a very interesting game. I especially like their plans to have both ways to build - zone and plop.

I bookmarked their website, so I can can track of what's going on.  Agreed Happy

 Smiley Blink  Thanks folks

I thought that if we are around long enough ..maybe a few of the members in this community might take this game for a test run..in both SP and MP versions.  I'm not usually attracted to "paying" for playing..but CB does it with WoW  ..so do my Kids.. thus the world of games is evolving..and maybe before I die..I'll give it a spin or two..  Laughing

We do have time to think about it.. that's probably a good thing.   wink

Hmmm I don't think this one is for me Max......I hated CityLife with a passion (all that stupid white collar/blue collar stuff Thumbs Down) , and this is just Cities Unlimited with a different name, and........I don't like online gaming Crying Crying so I am going to stamp it into the ground without even seeing a demo,... that's how confident I am about not liking it. I can appreciate your sentiments Sandra.. City Life wasn't a gem for gameplay..nor one I messed with for very long.  IF things change drastically in this NEW approach...then maybe it is worth a peek.. that's all I'm giving it 'til it proves worthy.

My expectations are different from the next player.. it's those "magical" games that have come along and spoiled us all. It's our childlike innocence as players.. to expect the Best each time a game is released.  Sadly we suffer many..many disappointments along the way..  Crying  ...<I'm going to my room and pout..if this isn't a good game>  ..hehe  Sticking Tongue Out
