Hello and Welcome When I became a member, I marked all of the posts read.  Now, each time I log in, I click the button that says "Show unread", so that I can keep up with all the current posts.

If you log off, then log back in, you will lose posts.  However, if you stay logged in forever, you shouldn't lose posts.

I lose posts every now and then.  Does anyone else have that problem? If so, do you know the cause?

Looking around cautiously  No problem for me kat..  I drop in daily so I keep up pretty well..only time I had tons of reading was when I had surgery.. Wow!! and I thought I chattering on... (j/k)....hehe  Always good reading..here at CB's site.   wink

My trick is I go back to the last post I made..then work up from there..  It keeps me organized... Plus I have lots of experience gained over the years.   Laughing

So you don't use the "Show unread" function? Especially if it's been a day or two, there would be many more posts made than room to show up at the bottom of the forum page...am I missing something?

By the way...what are you still doing awake?  How did the games go?

This is actually the best time for me to be online.. GMT -8 as UK is awake and NZ is having Lunch ..so I've made it a habit I guess.  I do not sleep for any length of time anyway..so why not do something interesting.  My game PC is whirring away with Two Worlds going.. I'm Modding some content for it...been working on this project for 6 mos.  so no need to get in a hurry now.   wink

I do not use the unread option.. I usually know..or recall what my last post was about.. so go there first.  Then if the list of current posts is longer than when I last posted..then I just read what has occurred and take it from there.  My Mod instincts make it difficult for me NOT to respond to whomever has posted.. old habits are hard to break..  Big Smiley Grin Laughing ..probably drive CB nuts.. but I just want to take some of the load off his tasks..and anyone who posts deserves a response..or I sure hope that they do.  hehe  Agreed Happy

I use the "show unread" also, Kat, staying logged on all the time.
I read the posts I think I'll be interested in, then use "mark as read" for the others so it doesn't take so long. So I know there are some posts that I missed  (on purpose).
