Oh baby....okay, while I wait for Vista 64-bit SP1 to download...

Here are the initial pics of my new baby...I cannot explaint to you just how shiny she is due to the fact that she basically received an automobile paint job.  I'm talking high gloss, high sheen gold fleck paint, silver fleck polished to a lovely sheen!

More later...if I'm not as active in the next day or so, chalk it up to me getting this baby ready to roll!  I may post some benchmarks as well....

Remember, it shipped with only ONE 8800 GTX, the other will come soon and I'll set up the SLi then...

Wow that's quite a color, did you choose that to use it as a theft deterrant? wink

Where do you download the 64 bit version of Vista? Is that one of the options instead of paying them for the shipping of a DVD with it on it?

HA!  CB, I knew you'd hate it if it wasn't all black and sleek!  I love the shiny gold...and if it keeps some crazy west-coaster with a penchant for dogs who runs, oh, let's say, a great PC gaming forum from taking it, then DAMN STRAIGHT Big Smiley Grin Laughing Big Smiley Grin Laughing Big Smiley Grin Laughing !  Vista 64-bit was an option for purchase...it comes w/ the OEM version of the re-install/recover disk for both 64 and 32 bit...NO cost difference between bit versions obvsiously, you get both for the same price no matter which Vista you choose....

Max, I'll be posting more here!  I love the gold flake in the gold color....it's actually got the finish of an automobile!

thanks sandra!  So far, she's performing EXTREMELY well...couple software glitches to work out w/ Xotic/Sager (built in cam, nothing major)...

I'm about ready to finish the Oblivion tutorial and hit the wilds of Cyrodill!  I'll let you know how she fares!

Ummm I know when Oblivion came out it was considered pretty graphicaly intense, but is it still considered to be one of the most graphically challenging out there?  I loaded it up loast night, Im not sure where the tutorial lets off and my adventures begin, Im headed (walking not mapping) over for a quest at some abbey.  I may end up mapping however because it seems like a really long walk, feels like I've been walking for days already.  Happy Hunting

P.S. I saw a car the other day with that color on it.  It was an excalibur so I guess your laptop is in good company.
