Please post a station and even a song or two so we can see whats up where you live,
I love all kinds of music so you can expect I can apreciate anything you post, as I am sure other mem's of the forum will,

Jack FM is what I listen to, when I listen to the radio which isn't too often.  The local Jack FM doesn't yet have a playable music website, but if you google for Jack FM you'll see how many Jack FM stations are out there and what they kind of music that they play.  They tout themselves for being the station that plays what they want and it's true at least locally.  They have a good mix of newer and older, but most newer and older as long as it was a popular song at some point in time with very little commercials compared to many other stations.

edit Heres the address for the station that has a preset set in my truck, though like I said I don't listen to it much and they don't play on the web yet.  Mostly in my truck I have my Learning German language CD's in the cd player and I don't concentrate on them, I just listen in the back of my mind and occasionally blurt out what the instructor says.  http://959jackfm.com/

And here is a list of all JackFM stations some of which have a listen on the web feature: http://www.jack.fm/find/

Smiley Blink  This would be very interesting to know jam.

I honestly do not listen to the radio on the PC.  I might tune in a station in the car occasionally..mostly for a traffic report or something of that nature.  Once in awhile a sports game will be ONLY on the radio..(like in a TV blackout) for local teams ..so that would be another Radio time for me...but strangely I don't use the PC...since I have a Bose Home entertainment center that works pretty well... wink

I'm really curious what might be discovered about this subject.    Agreed Happy

CB one of the stations I mentioned is WPLR, it is very much like the JACKfm station, but one thing about it is, lol, the music although it is really my choice from the late 70's and before then, it is ever so repetative, I love the mornig disc jockie's though, it is really more of a talk show, and I guess I can definately tune into what they talk about becasue of that age gap whicj makes that old stuff my sometimes preference. I have to ask Cyberken what he is working on now, he is a on line dj you know and has quite a history working with many stations on their libraries. I'll post here when I catch up with him.
One alternative for me ever using the radio is playing it while I game, I turn of the game music and lsiten at a low level, I tend to perform best when a cool song is on and I feel most competative, lol, like when I played HoK on line and listened to Zep among others, but wow that Bose, they also make pc speakers, I think here is a bargain to have with a system, but the expense may be out of range seperate, although I found them at $250.00  for a Blackbird 002 desktop I looked at, curriousity, I have to settle as it is on costs though, I won't be buying the Balckbird. I wonder would the neighbors want to hear me in one of those loud music mood swings I get, lol.

That was supposed to be a link to the speakers page, but you can see if you run through the configuration although the descriptons or more info tab is not functioning for me there, but may later today I guess.

That's very interesting as I listen to the beats and rhythm's, a kind of fusion rock and Jazz, it appeals to me in that way although you are correct that I did not understand the words, but I believe they used a few English words, lol, very few. I like the flare and uniqueness as I don't often get a change from what I listen to here in the states,
Thanks  for sharing  Lilla, looks real cool

That would be my luck too CB.. I wanted to learned Japanese back in the 70's.. our SW radio could pickup lots of stations in that language ..living on the NW Pacific coast aided this I guess.  I did learn I few words by listening ..with a language conversion dictionary on hand.  This all occurred late at night..so most times I'd get bored and doze off.   Agreed Happy  Wish I could do that nowadays.. hehe

OK I added to my Favorites.. a couple of stations..we'll see what happens.   wink

I was just suprised is all to hear them playing English language music (rap for that matter) on your station when here in the U.S. Any music radio stations that I might listen to are 100% english, with the exception of when someone makes a huge splash song in a foreign language like that Martin fellow years ago.  When I was living in Israel, everything was in their language unless I was able to tune into the BBC so it was just suprising to me is all.
