There is a free online game that's really hot right now. I heard about this on ABC's Nightline of all places!  It's called Scrabulous Fabulous, and there are millions of players.

Hasbro and Mattel, owners of Scrabble, are crying foul because this is very similar to Scrabble. However, the game's fans have protested and have recommended that Scrabble either buy this game (originated in India) or come up with their own free online Scrabble game. Offers from Mattel and Hasbro to buy this were refused, so now Hasbro and Mattel are working on their own free online Scrabble game.

Scrabulous Fabulous has chatting capabilities, so it's also a social network.  You can play with friends or with anyone online. How? I dunno yet. I haven't tried it so I don't know all the details.

I'm gonna sign up! Being a cheapskate and fairly good at Scrabble (erm, I was centuries ago),  this one is right up my alley.  You might like it too!     I'll let you know what I find out.

I GOT CREAMED!   

These guys play for blood! I played 4 or 5 games and lost everyone of them! 

Is pretty simple to play. Just sign up and give 'em a user name and password. THat's all that's required. Then after logging in, there's a list of rooms, and each room has numerous games in it. You just double click to get in the game. After that, it's pretty intuitive. You'll understand it right away.

There's timed gmes and untimed games. I played in timed, two player games. Each person gets X minutes. I dont know how to set up a game, cause I just wanted to try it.

I think I might have played in the Hawaii room. I kept getting a whole bunch of vowels! I could make words like kuomoaii or puupuui or nuonuoa -- weird stuff like that.  I think it might be cheating! 

At any rate, it's pretty cool. COME ON DOWN!  Don't let me be the only one that gets humiliated! 

I'll see if I can set up a room today. Look for one called CityBuilders. I dunno if I can do that, but I'll try.

Scrabble isn't one of my favorites.. my sister use to beat me ..badly.     Timed games would be out for me.. as anything I play is for relaxation.  In the past I've been involved with online gaming communities..and found I spent most of my time weeding out "cheater" types.  That's not much fun.

I did look over the Link.. sure has a lot of people..players.  So that is very positive and many players must be having a good time with this.
