There is a new enhanced version of The Witcher coming out in May.  Folk who have already bought the game will have a patch to update their game.

I've been playing the demo and all I can say is wow....very, very good.

Nice find RhiannOn, I guess it's a good thing I never even came close to finishing the witcher game.  I don't think I made it out of the first act and now I'l wait and see what happens come May.

 ..Oooeee..RhiannOn !!  I just played the Demo too.. the kids had the Full version..  I suffered through a couple of levels..  kind of got lost in the Dark too many times..  hehe

I know we have/had one fellow that really really likes the witcher game, we ended up getting into it in a thread about it one day and I havn't seen him around lately which is a shame.

Anyway the game in my opinion might actually be a pretty darn good game once the enhanced version comes out.  There are little nigglies that have bugged me about the original game since it's release like the piss poor inventory system but it seems according to reading that article that this will be one of the things that gets enhanced.

Also by releasing the editor it should allow it to take off and blossom with new stories and events.  To be honest I found the story a bit dull but then I didn't get very far into it, but it never really grabbed me so I hope that there is a strong editing crowd for the game that produces some excellent work that many games have done when they release an editor for them.

   Yeah  I miss ol Exyll too.. real motivated and passionate player..I'll give him that.  Some strong opinions clash.. sort of brings out the spiky speech and creates and supports that age ol adage about "*-*" and opinions.. everyone has one..    just don't stick it in everyones face.   

ANY thing with an Editor ..seems like that always gives hope for future play.  Just the slightest change can make a game enjoyable ..where it may have been just too frustrating before.

That's Great, I didn't buy The Witcher (first edition  )

Let's see how the second edition turns out.

But it's better for me to try and get the Original because it's down to about $12 here
