I go through chairs like people drinking water it seems.

In the past 3 .5 years that we've been here in this house I've purchased no less than 5 office chairs.  The first 4 were a pain in the backside (literally), after sitting for over 12 to 23 hours a day in them my tailbone would hurt so bad.  I kept upping the chairs to a more padded model in hopes of eliminating the pain.  I bought donut cusions, and wedge cushions, and memory foam cushions but nothing worked.

Then one day a manager at the office supply store told me my problem was the extra padding of the chairs I was buying and that the more padding they have the less amount of time they are accomodating to be used on a daily basis.  The harder the seating pad the longer one can use it.

She showed me my current chair and it has all these adjustments on it and was a kings ransom, but I figured I'd buy one last chair then I'd have to go to an ergonomic store to buy a chair if this one didn't work out.  Wasn't I suprised when the chair rang up at $109, I think to this day that the person that pulled it, pulled the wrong card and so they only charged me about 1/5th it's full price.  Anyway this chair has been great and I can use it for 24 hours straight without any pain in my tailbone.

Sadly though it's one of those chairs that uses the pnumatic post that goes up and down to raise and lower the chair, and now it sinks down about 1 or 2 inches after being used for a while and I have to press the button and have it come back up again plus it wobbles from side to side slightly as all center post pnumatic chairs eventually do, and of course I can't find the receipt to get it fixed or replaced, so I live with the wobble and having to raise the chair every now and then.

Chairs are very very important if you spend any great length of time sitting in one.

Regarding Pats new laptop, it seems nice to me.  I don't care for it's 11lb weight, nor it's overall look (kind of looks like a work laptop to me instead of a high performance gaming rig but I guess maybe it will be less prone to being stolen), but it seems favorable on the write up.

Max, thanks for the info man!  NO question that Vista has some issues but I'm wondering if those reviews wer done pre- or post- SP1?  I'm hopeful that MS will continue to offer SPs to improve Vista's performance, it's just time, basically...to move towards vista even though I really don't want to.  I will have a dual boot option if I need to, so that's a plus.

Keep in mind that right now I'm gaming w/ 2 gigs of RAM and only one 256 video card...imagine the difference with 4 gigs of ram and even ONE 512 8800 and then the BIGGER difference when the SLi card comes and is enabled!

It'll be pretty sick, i think!
