Hello and Welcome  If any of the forum membership is as tired of Winter.. the future looks bright!!

I managed to get outside and into the yard these past couple of days.  YeeHAW..my Daffodils are getting taller and soon will be blooming.  I have a few Crocus..they seem to be holding back.. gets pretty chilly at night.

Woo Hoo.. !! Though I dread the yard cleanup.. it's good exercise so it'll be worth it in two ways..I guess.  Unlocking the shed for the lawnmower... Ok ok ..somethings could take their time.. hehe  wink

How's things shaping up IN YOUR area...?   Hope Spring brings all of us flowers and birds and bugs..and.. you get the picture  Big Smiley Grin Laughing

The crocuses are out in the park, my daffodils are nearly blooming (along with the snowdrops Questioning) and it was -6 outside yesterday, I stayed indoors as the hard frost looked like an inch of snow had fallen (it well may have Big Smiley Grin Laughing), but on a brighter note it is much warmer today, (above freezing) raining and I went out, I didn't even have to put my gloves on Laughing, the nights are getting lighter, the mornings are getting brighter, I think spring is on it's way.........<this way Mr Spring> and leave that Jetstream behind Crying Crying Crying

Thumbs Up Sandra!! ...no gloves.. that is a good sign.   Smiley Blink

I hope the severe weather patterns are in the past.  Any early season flowering color helps the attitude (mine at least).  I'll be on moss control for the next few days..and it's ongoing.

One big event occurred early this morning.. EaRtHQuAke.. reported at 6. magnitude.  Where the epicenter is located I figure Ore Taz might've felt some of the effects.. it was strong enough.

Next week looks to offer some sunny days.. but we'll have to wait and see if they actually turn out that way.   wink

Earthquake!!! good grief, and here's me moaning about a few cold days, I'm glad it wasn't too strong, but any earthquake is bad news Crying
We had one here a few years ago, (1am) my living room shook, and of course I didn't know why, earthquakes just don't happen in the UK........but I ran under the doorframe anyway (it must be a built in thing  Big Smiley Grin Laughing)
Next morning I heard on the news it was an earthquake of 4.5 magnitude, so a 6 is a lot stronger,
We've had tornados as well Crying Crying Crying

The News pics I saw..lots of building damage in one small community..one two story collapsed..luckily no one was injured.

I'm still waiting to hear from Ore Taz.. whether or not it trembled things in her neighborhood.

Nope, I didn't feel anything. Where was the epicenter?
We have been going to town a lot for doctor's appointments, so have not been reading and posting regularily.
Days are above freezing, nights below, and we still have 2 feet of snow in some places. No spring flowers here yet.  arrgh

hehe  Must be that big SNOW cushion you have...

Hope all's going well with the Doc appts.  The flowers will come..just the snow has to go away first.  Well except for those crazy daffodils..they'll pop up no matter what.   wink

The Earthquake was in North east Nevada.  Near Jackpot..whereever that is.. sounds more like Jackrabbit country to me.  Epicenter?  Well I found a map.. you probably know more about how close this is than I do...  I'll post as an attachment.

It's still Febuary here and we had to turn on the air conditioning in the house the past 3 days. I dread our next electric bill if this weather keeps up.  Yet just last week or maybe the week before we had snow coming down to the valley floor.

But tonight was heavenly, we took the dogs over to Palm Springs street fair and walked the boulevard and the weather was so perfect.  It took us forever to get to the other end of the street fair as everybody and their grandmother has a story to relate about Poodles when we walk the kids down the street.

We met two very handsome chocolate standard poodles too, and a silky wheaton terrier that Weston decided to dance with.  I kid you not they both stood up on their hind legs chest to chest and were dancing around like that, I was dumbfounded at the site and as you can imagine we had a huge crowd gather around to watch the two of them dance around like that.  It was truly something to see.
