I have seen the other two but I never gave them too much of my time.

Decided to try this one out and have been enjoying it so far.  It is a little rough around the edges, but the scope and gameplay is very solid!  The AI puts up a good challenge and I am constantly having to think on my feet to what I want / need to accomplish next.

It could still use a few patches, but so far worth the $25 it cost me (even with the little amount of time I can spend towards games...

Something that maybe some of you know about (to which I call upon you to tell us more) and some may not have heard of it but it seems pretty interesting in concept anyway.  Currently downloading a demo.

Direct link to game preview here

I ran the early gameplay video (in gallery) for a while to see how it works- it is at top speed so hard to see details, but it looks like houses evolve as walkers pass, so very like Caesar III or Pharaoh, but not obvious if walkers are random or not. If houses run out of something, they devolve.

Ymir - The multiplayer civilization builder

"Ymir is a multiplayer game of civilization building, strategy, diplomacy and management with a stand-alone client. In this game, each player controls a faction of Pigmen living in fully persistent online worlds of dozens of players. Each world is composed of regions and each region matches a unique zone players can colonize and build a city on.  This game is, and will always be, absolutely free of any kind of PAY-TO-WIN."

I don't know if I shared my concept (physical) board game called City Landlords here but after play testing it, I decided it was fun enough turn into a videogame. My goal is to have this game eventually work like the board game with 2-8 players (and the ability to play against 1 or 2 AI players). My art style for the buildings are simple in order for them to look representative of what they are and be easily distinguished. I might even be able to turn these into physical models.

NOTE: I am pretty sure that this is the right place for this thread and after 10 minutes of Google searching various keywords under this domain, I could not find any other threads like this.

Anyway, now that 2 new city building/simulating games are being released this year by relatively big European companies (and SimCity was released 2 years ago by a very big American company), and there is at least 1 notable indie city simulator in development, I think I would like to compile a...

I love Dwarf Fortress style games, and played through this game, once successfully, and a ton of failures...  I played the free ascii version, which wasn't too hard to play and understand. With a little more development I will certainly buy($15). I really like this though: "If you'd like, you can donate the same amount to Wildlife Conservation Society (or any other wildlife charity) instead. Just forward me the confirmation email."

Hey guys,

Don't Starve if you don't already know is a fun little survival adventure game where the game is out to get you.  You have to get resources, build a base and do everything to survive.  They have released (in early-access) the new multiplayer version.

Together supports up to 6 players on a server.

If you already own Don't Starve you can get access to the Together version and you get an extra copy to give to a friend for $5,...

Hey,

So, I've kind of been burned on some 'early access' games on Steam with the latest one being Spacebase DF9 (or something like that) where I only just found out now that the developers finally admitted that sales have not been enough for them to continue development.

This really makes me think that Steam needs to revamp their rules on what can be sold for early access and what can't.  For example be their own type of kickstarter that the...

Anyone else here play the witcher series?

I pre-ordered the third game as I have eaten up the hype and I enjoyed the first two games.  Anyway the pre-order came with closed-beta passes for the online adventure board game they are developing as well.  Have played a few games so far.  It takes a bit to get use to and they need to enhance interaction between players but it has a lot of potential.

With all that said, they gave me two keys, one for me and one to...

SimTower was a fun game of its time I want to see who is still interested and if anyone wants to work on a spiritual successor to it.

When I was a sad and lonely boy (I don't want to go into detail here why I was sad and lonely in 1999-2003 when I was 8-12), one of my favorite pastimes besides reading science fiction and fantasy novels was playing computer games. My mother bought me the SimMania pack when it was new. I loved SimSafari, was confused by SimIsle (I never learned...

Hey.
I'm looking for one game I just can't remember the name of.
I think it was released in the late 90's.

You were supposed to build up a kind of a modern beach resort, my clearest memory of it is that there were surfer shops that you could build.
I know it's not much info but maybe it rings a bell for someone, somewhere.

It would be much appreciated if anyone of you could help me remember the name.  Or even where to get...

Anyway, I've been cruising around the app store this morning to see what is on offer, mostly checking the *free* (cough, cough) apps and games and see that some of them might be free if I can afford to give up some screen real estate to in app/game ads or some are for straight up purchase after trying their demos (if that's what...

You can download the alpha version at no charge from the Dwelvers site: http://dwelvers.com/download/
And they have an option to "pre-order" if you're so inclined that you can find on their site.
